With a little help from Larry down at Philadelphia Scooters, the GS160 was purchased on ebay the other week and is now in Tacoma. The pity is that it was finally performing it’s best.

Originally it was up for sale in the spring. A little thing like a blown ring took care of that. After some initial procrastination I went and redid the top end with 20 overs. It was an amazing change. The original top end I did over 4 years ago consisted of a honing and new rings. Doing the job right this time made all the difference. Performance went from a top speed of 55mph (60 with a tail wind) to better then 63. Odd enough other unrelated items like shifting and electrics seemed improved as well. Maybe it was just my outlook, but that bike was running nice. Too bad the brakes never improved as well.
